The LAA National Juried Fine Art Photography Show announces the 1st and 2nd prize winners, Janet Koellimg and Kerry Koepping. Transitional Majesty, shown here, is the 1st place winning piece, a KoKoWorld Photo by Janet Koelling.
The Juror was Joseph Roybal, a professional Denver, Colorado based photographer specializing in travel and landscape portrait photography. Joseph recently joined the prestigious Zenfolio Pro Team and his photography has been published in AFAR Travel Magazine, Denver Magazine, and promoted in The Denver Post. He recently exhibited alongside world-renowned travel photographer Blaine Harrington III in the John Fielder gallery in Denver, and currently displays his work in several Denver locations. He has scouted locations for National Geographic workshops, and leads his own landscape photography workshops.
Roybal judged the pieces, narrowing down those selected for the show. Roybal said,
"I am impressed to see the quality work that is entered into this show. Exceptional photographers from around the nation participate, making it difficult to decide. I am especially moved by dramatic clouds and the mood created by Koellng's artistic work presented in "Transitional Majesty."
